How BuzzClear® works
Enzymes—the key to rapid alcohol metabolisation
Containing both enzymes in a patented ratio, BuzzClear® directly accelerates your body’s breakdown of alcohol.
Alcohol is absorbed in different parts of the human body

BUZZCLEAR® works in the small intestine.

BUZZCLEAR®'s carefully formulated enzyme ratio is developed for optimising alcohol breakdown and preventing aldehyde buildup.

Patent

Alcolear holds three US patents for its unique dual-enzyme supplement and is seeking patents in key areas around the globe. These patents cover a composition containing two enzymes working together to efficiently break down alcohol in the human body. The first enzyme converts alcohol into a harmful metabolite, which is then converted by the second enzyme into a harmless form that can be excreted from the body. The specific ratio of these enzymes in the composition is crucial for avoiding elevated levels of the intermediate harmful metabolite, ensuring optimal alcohol metabolism and minimising negative symptoms.

Academic Studies
Asians with ALDH2 gene variants are more susceptible to alcohol hangovers, even at lower alcohol consumption levels.
Genetic variations in alcohol-metabolising enzymes, particularly in Asian populations, can influence hangover susceptibility and severity. Specifically, individuals of Asian descent with ALDH2*2 alleles, which are variants of the aldehyde dehydrogenase gene, may experience slower breakdown of acetaldehyde, causing more severe hangovers and are more likely to experience hangovers at lower levels of alcohol consumption compared to those without this genetic variation.
Containing effective aldehyde dehydrogenase enzymes, BUZZCLEAR® provides effective enzymes to people with ALDH2*2 alleles and reduces or eliminates hangover effects.
Medicine and supplements containing turmeric or curcumin - risk of liver injury
Some Hangover pills might contain turmeric or curcumin as active ingredients. In 2023, The Australian Government’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has issued a safety advisory warning that people with liver problem should avoid medicine and supplements containing Curcuma species and/or curcumin.
BUZZCLEAR® is free from turmeric or curcumin, ensuring safe use.
